1st Step... To be a Financial adviser with MAA, you need to obtain the following Capital Market Financial Advisory Sevices (CMFAS) certificate so that you can market various financial products and they are:-
M5 -Rules & Regulations for financial Advisory Services
M8 -To Market Unit-Trust: Collective Investment Scheme
M9 -Market Life Insurance (Death & Totally Disability) and Investment Linked Policies (ILP)
HI -Market Health Insurance (Plans with Dreaded-Disease Cover, Hospital Plans, Accident, Disability Income plans)

(Old certificate like CLI and ILP will exempt you from taking M9 paper)
Thereafter, we will put-up your application to MAS (authority) who will issued you the license to practise.
To market General Insurance products, you need to have General Insurance certificates like:-
1. Basic
2. Personal
3. Commercial

MAA presently operates in a office size of 4,500 sq feet in the heart of the city. The premises is owned by MAA. It is equiped with mordern facilities so as to provides a condusive eviroment for our advisers and staff to work on. MAA advisers are supported by a group of staff. Most importantly, MAA office also transmit a friendly, helpful, progressing and Productive enviroment. All these are generated by productive People at MAA. People around must continue to do that.

MAA is reputable for building advisers. Unlike others, who use various way in "mass-recruitment", MAA believe in buidling "new" advisers by providing good traning program. All financial products are provided by various established Financial Institutions that we have tie-up. The Benefits and pay-out in each plan are spelt clearly in thrie terms and conditions and they are responsible for the payment. What else must you know about them?
1. All our partners (or Financial Institutions) are regulated by the authourity (MAS-Monetary Authority of Singapore).
2. Their Financial Strengths are monitored by the authority regularly. They are governed by the Financial Advisers (FA) Act and must comply with its requirements.
3. Before designing any new product these Financial Institutions must obtain clearance from the authority.
4. All MAA's Advisers are qualify and license by the authourity individual. They are governed by the FA Act and they are to adhere to all latest requirements in conduting their financial planning work.
5. All MAA advisers also have to adhere to the training requirement so that they are competent in their work.

Financial Planning through... life stages

MAA Financial Planners was established in May 1997 with the aim to set the scene for new direction in the Financial Planning industry. In a short span of time, since our existence, we exceeded all expectations, even voted as one of the top Independent Financial Planning firm by several financial institutions.
The Financial Advisers Act came into operation from 1st October 2002 and it has clearly outlined the roles one can play. MAA Financial Planners is well positioned to meet this requirement and its new service standard.
