The new Financial Advisers Act came into operation on 1st Oct 2002.
It clearly outlined the licensing requirement for each practice and the roles one can play.
MAA Financial Planners was well positioned to meet this requirement and its new service standard. MAA have already operated as an "Independent" Financial Planning firm since May 1997, thus our transition was a smooth one.
With the new act, MAA operates as an Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) firm. As an IFA, we are not tied-up with any financial institution like a bank, insurer, security-house, fund manager or other financial institutions. Our role allowed us to market products from the various financial institutions. This arrangement gives our client better choice, where a variety of product ranges are avialble for their consideration. This unique role has been keenly accepted by our clients and prospects as our advice is impartial.

The Person we are looking should process the followings-
Singaporean or PR with a minimum age of 21. Foreigners can be considered after fowarding resume.

Candidate with a Diploma certificate or tertiary educated will be preferred.
You'll have a distinct advantage if you have or is pursuing related financial certification.

■ -Preferably with a Diploma certificate or tertiary education. Minimum qualifications - 4 'O' Level
■ -You'll have a distinct advantage if you have or are pursuing related financial planning certification
like AFP, CFP, CLU/CHFC or Wealth Management certification.
■Tied agents who are keen to play the "IFA role"
